What do I need to organise? I can practically already hear them asking about the first day of skiing. I&#8217;ll try to cheat myself a little more time by answering \u2018really soon\u2019 or \u2018just after Christmas\u2019, while the alarm bells are ringing in my head.<\/p>\n<p>My two little Rambos are now 3 and 5 years old and grow out of their old ski suits, ski boots and ski helmets almost every season. The poles and skis themselves sometimes last us a year or two, but every parent knows the race against time and centimetres. You&#8217;ve barely been out one winter with your new ski equipment when your boots start to pinch again and your poles only reach as far as your hips. A challenge for your wallet and your nerves.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Renting children&#8217;s ski equipment?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To make my life a little easier, I&#8217;ve picked up a few tricks over the years. Here are my top tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are now children&#8217;s skis that grow with the little rascals. In other words, a subscription that allows you to hire new equipment every season, which you simply return at the end of the season.<\/li>\n<li>Also, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intersport-breitfuss.at\/en\/skirental\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Intersport Breitfuss<\/a><\/strong>, our partner shop in Hinterglemm and our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skischule-saalbach.co\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heli&#8217;s Ski School<\/a> always have good offers in store. So you are sure to find a pair of poles or boots in the right size.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Skiing in the Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Fully equipped, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotelgluecksschmiede.at\/en\/active-holiday\/skiing-holiday\/\">skiing<\/a> is best, and nothing stands between us and the slopes! In the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm, we are lucky to have a wide range of children&#8217;s activities, and I&#8217;m already looking forward to exploring the Fun Slopes with the boys this year \u2014 the older they get, the more fun the various snow tunnels, jumps, and fun high-five stands are. And if the kids\u2018 turbo batteries are still at 40% even after an exciting day of skiing (sorry, mums!), there&#8217;s a rocking kids\u2019 party at the hotel to look forward to until the wild guys finally fall into bed knocked out.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Atypical Party Time: Apr\u00e8s-ski Fun for Kids<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Thanks to our Gl\u00fccksschmiede cocktail course for children, the little ones can easily mix their drinks \u2014 alcohol-free, of course \u2014 with the help of our bartenders, while the grown-ups have earned their favourite adult drinks. And then it&#8217;s time for the kids to put on their headphones and head to the dance floor of the \u2018Kiddo Silent Disco\u2019. There, the kids can rock out to our DJs&#8217; fun tunes with radio-controlled headphones.
